Good on you Maroon 5 (Adam levine in particular)

Well, what can I say, I had the BEST night on Friday all thanks to my favourite band Maroon 5. I saw them live at the Burswood Dome in Perth and absolutely loved it! For those of you who don't know, James booked us tickets to see them in Paris for my birthday in December way back in May last year but 2 weeks before the show, it was cancelled and I was gutted to say the least. Then Sophie found out they were in Perth when we were and booked us tickets so I have been waiting for 9 months to see them and it was amazing! It was a brilliant show and reinforced my love for Adam Levine, he looked very good indeed :) I managed to sing along to every song as well which I was quite proud of, I guess I did have a while to prepare though!

It's actually been a busy few days and we haven't spent much time in Mandurah really. As I said, Thursday we went to Swan Valley to meet with James' uncle and Auntie and had such a lovely day. We basically drove a route round the Swan river and stopped at lots of different places on the way like some nice wineries, a nougat factory, a brewery, and ice cream factory and for a picnic for lunch! I felt like I was eating and drinking all day! In the evening we stayed with their family and went kangaroo spotting at the golf course and there were so many! Me and James haven't really seen any up close yet so it was really good to see them, they're cute really! I tried my best to sneak up and take a close up photo but as soon as one hops off, they all follow!

Saturday afternoon we went camping in a place called Nanga in Dwellingup, it was only about a 45 minute drive from here but really out in the sticks. It was beautiful there and we camped in between all these tall trees and next to the Murray River which compensated for the long drop toilet and no shower! It got dark pretty early out there so we played lots of card games and yatzee with some rather large moths for company, not a fan of the fluttering species! It was a real fun night though with lots of laughs and just as much alcohol!

Yesterday we found a lovely cidery and winery near to where we camped so went and had a few tasters and a couple of drinks. I was actually quite tipsy after my 2 glasses of sparkling wine and then dropped off to sleep on the way home, that's what drinking in the day does to me!

Today is a first. It is actually tipping it down with rain and thundering outside, it looks like England outside the window!! Apparently when it does rain here it really goes for it so we'll probably have these grey skies all day - looks like we might spend the day watching DVD's!

Well, that's about it for now, we head off one week today on our big drive round to the East so have a few things to prepare, really excited though! Au Revoir for now:)
